Welcome to Destinations
Destinations has been established as a missions project of Taigum Community Church, with the intent of being a catalyst for the establishment of orphanages around the world as led by God. Our purpose is to take the heart statement of Senior Pastor, Gary Levens, and turn the vision from thought to reality.
We believe that the rescuing of abandoned or orphaned children throughout the world is a noble and worthy cause to which God is calling us. It is estimated that there are 100 million orphans in the world today (four times the population of Australia). Most of the world are trying to ignore their plight or even exploiting it. We believe that with God’s help we can rescue, nurture and disciple many of these children.
This website is designed to create an awareness and to keep an account of our progress on the orphanages overseas.
Orphanage in Kabale now in operation!
The orphanage in Kabale, Uganda is now in operation. On the 2nd of July the doors were open to receive the first six children - the first of many. We are now calling on sponsors for these children. Your generous giving will be used to provide for the wellbeing of the child in addition to proper education, food and safety. To sponsor the children of Akanyijuka please click here.
